In fall of 2024, I decided to work on bettering my digital illustration skills. Previously, I created digital art with my Wacom tablet, but had always heard great things about Procreate for iPad. I purchased an iPad and began working in Procreate on a handful of practice illustrations and projects to learn the app and get used to digital drawing with a new device.
In honor of Valentine's Day, I decided to mimic a style of art I had seen on social media—a way to create scratch art digitally. Below you will find a set of six cheesy, illustrative Valentines cards created in Procreate using this technique.
